Job Growth in Houston

 

From April 2010 to April 2011, Houston gained 51,100 jobs, or 2.0%. Only Dallas-Fort Worth had a larger percentage gain.

Since January 2010 when the local recession hit bottom, the Houston MSA has created 97,200 net new jobs, recouping 63.6% of the jobs lost during the recession.
